Orientation

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! As a Parent Choice school, each family must sign-up to help on one committee for the school year. Committee descriptions are below. You will choose your committee on the Orientation form. Student schedules will be emailed on July 26th to all students whose families have completed the Orientation form and paid the family contributions by July 22nd. Student schedules will be sent to the email address parents have on file with the school.

Quad ruled composition notebooks will be provided to all students courtesy of the FJPO. These notebooks are required in all Math and Science classes and they will be in your student’s homeroom on the first day of class.

ORIENTATION WILL BE OPEN JULY 8, 2024 – JULY 22, 2024

Student’s schedules will be emailed to the parent’s email address the school district has on file July 26, 2024.

Committee Descriptions

Socials/Game Night Committee Help pass out/sell food and chaperone at game nights held throughout the year. Game nights this year are tentatively scheduled as: Pool Party (late August/early September), Costume Game Night (late October), Karaoke Night(January/February), Talent Show (late April). Commitment: 2 events

Library Committee Help screen books for the Jr High library. Direction will be given. Commitment: Read at least 5 books for the Jr High library.

Firebird Wednesday Committee Help sell soda and snacks on Wednesdays throughout the school year from 12:00-12:30pm. Commitment: 2 Wednesdays per semester, may be asked to do more.

Donations Committee – Donate items as requested throughout the school year. These donations will be used for Staff Appreciation, Game Nights, and other FJH needs throughout the year. Commitment: Donate at least 2 times throughout the year.

Opt-Out – For a one-time fee of $25 you can opt out of your committee obligation for the school year.
